Motivational Interviewing
Developed by William Miller, PhD and Stephen Rollnick, PhD, Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a guiding method of communication to elicit and strengthen motivation to change. This coaching approach is especially helpful with less ready, less motivated individuals. Research has shown the approach to be helpful across a wide spectrum of populations and behavior change issues.
